26751 H0 "Model Railroad Meet 2003" Train Set
Prototype: Class 18.4 express train steam locomotive as it looked for the special trips to the Model Railroad Meet on May 3 and 4, 2003 in Göppingen.
Five different long-distance passenger cars as painted for the "Rheingold" trains. 1 salon car, 1st class with galley. 1 salon car, 1st class without galley. 1 salon car, 2nd class with galley. 1 salon car, 2nd class without galley and 1 baggage car.
Model: Locomotive comes with a digital decoder, controlled high-efficiency propulsion, locomotive whistle and bell. 3 axles powered. 2 traction tires. Separately applied metal steps on the cylinder blocks. Separately applied smoke stack ring. Ready for installation of the 72270 smoke generator. Headlights, and smoke generator that can be retrofitted, will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Locomotive whistle, bell, and acceleration and braking delay can be controlled digitally with the 6021 Control Unit. Painted boiler rings. Cars have separately applied special excursion destination signs made of metal Train length 156.2 cm / 61-1/2".
Models are not available separately.
A reproduction of an original train destination sign from the legendary "Rheingold" is included with this train. This metal sign is lettered on both sides.
The lithographed sheet metal case as the packaging underscores the exclusiveness of this train. The embossed "Rheingold" lettering and the color scheme for this case were inspired by the prototype.
The 26751 train set is being produced in a one-time series on the occasion of the Model Railroad Meet for 2003 and on the occasion of the steam locomotive trips to and from Göppingen. Delivery is planned for the 3rd quarter of 2003.
